Open workshops with drums and instruments
We'll play songs from all over the world with cool grooves. Together, we'll decide on and develop rhythms, songs, and melodies, and prepare for our first performance - a street parade at the end event! It doesn't matter whether you have any previous musical experience or not, we need both in this street band, because it's only when diverse voices come together that it sounds great!

For the past 20 years, the Philharmonie has stood firm in its belief that music empowers individuals and communities. With its unique ability to foster connections and build bridges, community music can be a force for good in our fragmented societies.
Building upon this commitment, we have partnered with Paper Lantern Collective to design a special participatory project for the 2025/26 season.
Starting in January 2026, we will offer creative workshops open to all. Families with children, young people, adults, senior citizens: anyone and everyone is invited to come together to make music, sing, dance, create and – most importantly – connect.
After a few months of regular gatherings, the project’s finale will take the form of a festive neighbourhood party in June, including music, food and art – a beautiful moment to celebrate the arrival of summer together!
