COMMUNITY MUSICIAN TRAINING
Paper Lantern Collective offers training for musicians, social workers and cultural practitioners who want to develop skills in Community Music, thereby supporting the professional development of the field in Germany and beyond. All trainings are designed for real-word project delivery, enabling participants to design and lead workshops, work with diverse communities and develop music projects in partnership with local organisations. The emphasis lies on artistic quality, inclusion and co-creation.
Basic Training
For musicians, social workers and cultural practitioners to build Community Musician skills as: inclusive musical leadership, co-creation, facilitation. In a weekend format or weekly sessions.
Basic Training Plus
For Basic Training graduates ready to put learning into practice with real groups, mentoring, feedback and structured reflection.
Team Training (one-off)
For organisations, teams or networks wanting a hands-on, low-threshold first introduction to Community Music practice and consultation for next steps.

Zertifikatslehrgang Community Music
Accredited qualification in Community Music. A longer-form programme delivered by Landesmusikakademie NRW, Hochschule Düsseldorf, Robert Schumann Hochschule and Konzerthaus Dortmund, with Paper Lantern Collective contributing expertise.
