At Paper Lantern Collective, one of our core missions is to advance the community music sector in Germany and support its growing professionalisation. That doesn’t only mean developing projects and artistic practice — it also means creating meaningful job opportunities for community musicians.
We’re therefore very excited to offer a unique freelance opportunity in may/ june 2026: a four-week deep dive into our community music work, connected to two major European projects in Chemnitz and Luxembourg.
This role is designed for an established community musician who wants to work at the intersection of artistic quality, participation, and social impact — and to do so as part of a highly experienced, fast-moving team.

Uns bei Paper Lantern Collective ist es ein zentrales Anliegen, den Community-Music-Sektor in Deutschland voranzubringen und seine zunehmende Professionalisierung zu stärken. Das bedeutet nicht nur, Projekte und künstlerische Praxis weiterzuentwickeln, sondern auch, sinnvolle berufliche Perspektiven für Community Musicians zu schaffen.
Deshalb freuen wir uns sehr, im Mai/Juni 2026 eine besondere Freelance-Möglichkeit anbieten zu können: vier Wochen intensives Eintauchen in unsere Community-Music-Arbeit, verbunden mit zwei großen europäischen Projekten in Chemnitz und Luxemburg.
Diese Rolle richtet sich an eine*n erfahrene*n Community Musician der*die an der Schnittstelle von künstlerischer Qualität, Partizipation und sozialer Wirkung arbeiten möchte – und das als Teil eines erfahrenen und dynamischen Teams.
